What this site is
SaikoDev is for anyone who wants to put AI to real use: developers sharpening how they work, product managers who need to understand what they are shipping, founders and small-business owners automating the unglamorous parts, people building their first AI side project — and non-profits doing good work with small teams, for whom I build AI systems free.
Content is pitched by level, not by job title. Some of it explains how LLMs actually work; most of it is about using them well on your own use case, from first prompt to shipped application.
The bar is simple: nothing gets published here that has not been read, run, or shipped first. That rules out most of what a search for “best AI tools” returns, and it means this site grows slowly on purpose.
The end goal is AI for everyone — the advantage should not belong only to the people who already speak the jargon.
What you'll find
Field notes
Write-ups from building AI systems — LLM applications, agents, and the engineering around them. The decisions, the dead ends, and the reasoning behind both. Not tutorials rewritten from documentation.
Tooling worth your time
A short list rather than a directory. A tool only appears here after it has been used on real work, and each entry says what it is actually good for — supported by community ratings and public signals, not by a number invented to fill a column.
Builds
Whole projects taken end to end and written up the way they were actually built — architecture calls, what broke, and a repo you can clone. Not demo videos.
Cookbook
Short recipes for what comes up on every project: eval harnesses, retrieval setups, prompt and agent patterns. Each one runs on its own and is meant to be pasted into your work.
What it isn't
An SEO surface, an affiliate funnel, or a feed of everything that trended this week. There is no value in another list assembled by someone who never opened the thing they are recommending.
