What it actually does
You describe the app you want in a chat box and Lovable writes it: a React front end with a Supabase backend behind it, published at a lovable.app address you can share immediately. From there you keep talking to it — move that button, add a table, change what happens on submit — and you can edit the result visually or in code. The free plan gives you five lovable.app domains, workspace-private projects, unlimited collaborators and no credit card requirement. What it does not tell you is how much building that covers: the pricing page lists only "Free grants", with no credit number attached. Pro, at $25 a month or $21 billed annually, adds 100 monthly credits, credit rollovers, on-demand top-ups, custom domains, user roles, per-member credit limits and the removal of the Lovable badge. Business at $50 adds a team workspace, role-based access, internal publishing, SSO and a security centre. Enterprise is a platform fee plus volume pricing and adds directory sync, audit logs, scheduled security scans and a named CSM.

- A working prototype is not a production app: reviewers budget 20 to 40 hours of developer cleanup.
- Lovable's own documentation puts responsibility for the app's security on you.
- The pricing page does not publish the free plan's credit allowance, so you cannot tell how far $0 goes until you have spent it.
